GENEVA : Mar 03, 2009 - Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the all-new ix-onic concept car at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Styled at the company's European Design headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany, with European consumers in mind, the new concept is inspired by multi-cultural personalities of cities like Berlin, Paris and London.

The ix-onic concept introduces a new look for a compact 4x4 SUV, with an overall length of 4,400mm, 1,850mm-wide and 1,650mm-high. The vehicle's power train is equipped with a 170 PS, 1.6-litre GDi turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine, with ISG (Idle Stop & Go) technology and a double-clutch six-speed transmission. The next-generation, eco-friendly engine emits just 149 g/km of CO2.

HYUNDAI i20 3-door

The second creation is i20 three-door derivative, which was built on the success of the recently launched Hyundai i20 five-door model. The chic and versatile i20, which replaced the Getz, made its debut at the 2008 Paris Mondial de l’Automobile and is playing an important role in expanding the popularity of the Hyundai brand in Europe.

HYUNDAI i30 Bluedrive

Hyundai has unveiled i30 Blue model, which features ISG (‘Idle Stop & Go’), an innovative, fuel-stretching engine technology. This represents an important first step in a broad eco-initiative called Blue Drive which will bring to market a host of many new eco-friendly models and technologies. The car promises to deliver significant fuel savings during city driving by automatically switching the car’s engine off whenever traffic comes to a standstill. The i30 Blue will be supplemented by other Blue Drive technologies currently under development with the goal of gradually reducing the CO2 figure.
