MONZA : Inside the Maserati Day held in Monza, the House of Trident presented its new concept car.
In the temple of speed, the managing director Harald Jacob Wester presented to a large number of guests and journalists the GranTurismo MC Concept, a real prototype development created to evaluate solutions can be used on the production of series and for potential use in competitions.
The concept car GranTurismo MC Concept has been developed on the basis of the GranTurismo S, presented in Geneva. The technicians of the Department Corse have implemented important changes, aimed at a radical easing of the car and improved dynamic performance.
The GranTurismo MC Concept features a propeller appropriately revised in mapping with the aim to increase their benefits without jeopardizing the reliability.
The engine power was thus increased to 330.9 Kw (450CV), while torque has increased to 510 Nm achieved at 4750 rpm.
The GranTurismo style of MC Concept has been defined by combining the elegance of the car series with the demands of the track, providing it with characteristic elements which contribute to improve the aerodynamics of the body and emphasize the aspect of aggressive.
The Monza event has not only brought to the fore the new car, but was also an opportunity to see the runway version Corse MC12 and MC12 GT1 Vitaphone Racing Team which together have resulted in a thrilling spectacle thanks developments of Andrea Bertolini and Michael Bartels.
